Arvi also known as colocasia root /taro root in English, is one healthy vegetable that is cooked regularly in Indian homes. It also contains magnesium, iron, zinc, phosphorous, potassium, manganese, and copper .On top of all health benefits if cooked properly this is really tasty as well..ooo that's a bonus!!! we can make arvi in many ways are a number of ways to make this power veggie , but this tandoori version I like the most so today I’m sharing a very simple way of cooking Tandoori Arvi Try this delicious recipe today.

Yields1 Serving

 Water
  10 Arvi/Colacassia
  Salt
 ½ tsp Turmeric powder
For the Marnation
 1 cup Hung Curd
 Salt to taste
 1 tsp Red chili powder
 1 tsp Dry Mango powder
 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
 1 tsp Tandoori Masala
 2 tbsp Gram flour
 1 tbsp Dry Fenugreek Leaves
 1 tsp Lemom juice
 1 tsp Mustard Oil
 Chaat masala
 Mint chutney
  Oil to grease
  Charcoal

In a pressure cooker add water, arvi/colocasia, salt, turmeric powder. Cover the cooker and cook up to 1 whistle.

Open and remove the arvi, peel the arvi skin and keep aside.

Now in a mixing bowl add hung curd, salt, red chilli powder, dry mango powder, ginger garlic paste, gram flour, dry fenugreek leaves, lemon juice, mustard oil. Mix all the ingredients well.

Now place the boiled arvi in it and marinate it for 20 minutes.

Now place a piece of hot charcoal on foil and put some ghee.Cover when smoke comes and keep aside.

Now on a pan apply mustard oil, place the arvi on it.Cook on both the sides till crisp.Remove and keep aside

Serve hot tandoori arvi with some chaat masala and mint chutney.
