Mur do pyaza is a simple and delicious recipe that belongs to Awadhi cusine. Basically onins are used in 2 parts, so its named as do pyaza. Vegeterians can make paneer do pyaza instead of chicken. It will taste as deicious as this one .

Murg Do Pyaza

 1 kg Chicken
 45 Onions
 5 ½ Cloves
 1 cup Curd
 ½ tsp Black Pepper powder
 1 tsp Red chili powder
 2 tsp Coriander powder
 5 Cloves
 1 stick Cinnamon
 6 Green cardamom
 3 tbsp Ghee
 ¼ tsp Nutmeg powder
 Salt to taste
 Some brown onions to garnish

Firstly, wash the chicken and keep aside.

Make a paste of ginger and garlic.

Apply curd , ginger garlic paste and salt to the chicken and marinade for 1/2 an hour .

Finely slice the onion and keep aside . Grind half of the onion to paste and fry the left over ones in Ghee till brown .

Heat pan and add some ghee , add the whole spices . Wait for a minute to splutter. Add the ground onion paste and cook till light brown in colour. Add red chilli powder , pepper powder and coriander powder . Stir well. Add the marinated chicken and cover and cook . Remove the lid after some time and cook the chicken till fat leaves the side and chicken is brown . At this stage crush half of the brown onion and add to the chicken . Add some water to cook further cook. Add nutmeg powder and mace powder along with salt . Cook till gravy thickens .
Serve by garnishing brown onions over it.

Note : Veg can prepare Paneer do pyaza or Egg do pyaza in the same way !!!
