Prawns Koliwada is one of the most known name in north Indian cuisine. Prawns koliwada is a famous dish that comes from Sion, Mumbai, a place called Koiwada where you will find North Indian community. The prawns are flavorfull mix of ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, cumin powder, lemon juice, cournflour balancing out the flavours just right. Peel and devein the prawns, remove the black thread of the prawns wash well and pat dry.
Remove the prawns in a bowl add ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, cumin powder, lemon Juice, salt to taste, cornflour, gram flour.Add little water and mix well.
Now marinate the prawns in this mixture for about 30 mins.
Heat a kadhai with sufficient oil for deep frying, till hot.
Deep fry prawns in small batches in hot oil.
Fry till the prawns turn golden brown, on both sides, on medium flame.
Drain the fried prawns completely in a absorbent tissue paper.
Sprinkle some chaat masala on top of the Prawn Koliwada.
Serve hot with your favorite green chutney/sauce/ketchup/dip.
